Whether you live in London or are just visiting, you are spoilt for choice on the vegan restaurant front. From super healthy options, to dirty ‘there’s no way THAT is vegan’ junk food and everything in between – London has you covered. Here’s a few to get you started:
The Vurger Co – for the best plant-based burger you’ve ever had. They’re seriously good. Made from beans, nuts and veggies, these guys aren’t trying to mimic meat and I love that. Just so damn good. Soon opening in Canary Wharf, too.
9, Avant Garde Richmix Square, Cygnet St, London E1 6LD
Antonios’ Kitchen – for absolutely incredible Italian food. It’s the kind of food that you eat and you seriously consider whether the chef is having a laugh at your expense and sneaking some parmesan and cream in there (he’s not). Super authentic and absolutely delicious. Stay for dessert.
393 Cambridge Heath Rd, London E2 9RA
Purezza – the little sister of the Brighton original, Purezza is my go-to for delicious vegan sourdough pizza. And, for brownies come to that. The brown rice milk mozzarella is incredible and the crust is just perfect.
43 Parkway, Camden Town, London NW1 7PN
Wulf & Lamb – for brunch, lunch or dinner in South West London. The mac’n’cheese with a side of broccoli is especially good and there’s just a great feel about this place. A good choice for a catch-up with a few friends.
243 Pavilion Rd, Chelsea, London SW1X 0BP
The Big V – for a ‘beef’ burger. I won’t lie to you, this isn’t a personal favourite but that is solely because I can’t stand (and never have been able to stand) beef burgers and this tastes exactly like one. So if you’re missing the meat, definitely head here. They’re doing incredible things.
Unity Diner – for deliciously indulgent American-diner style food with a wholefoods, healthy vegan twist. The cauliflower wings are incredible! But best of all, by eating at not-for-profit Unity Diner you’re supporting Earthling Ed’s charity Surge and helping fund a new animal sanctuary.
